Alice Miller is a New Zealand-born author, poet, historian, and creative-writing lecturer based in Berlin. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and the International Institute of Modern Letters, she is the author of the historical novel More Miracle than Bird and several poetry collections, including Nowhere Nearer, The Limits, What Fire, and Here & Thereafter. She has received major literary fellowships and awards and has also worked as a writer and editor for the United Nations.
