Jim Collins is an American author, researcher, and teacher best known for evidence-based books on business leadership, management, and organizational performance. He has authored or coauthored influential works including Good to Great, Built to Last, Great by Choice, How the Mighty Fall, BE 2.0, and Turning the Flywheel. Formerly a Stanford Graduate School of Business faculty member, Collins founded a management laboratory in Boulder, Colorado, where he conducts research that informs his books and writing.
