Roland Orzabal is an English songwriter, musician, and author best known as the co-founder and primary songwriter of Tears for Fears. He made his fiction debut with the 2014 romantic-comedy novel Sex, Drugs & Opera, inspired partly by his own experience in music and television. His later book, Welcome to Your Life, is a deeply personal memoir exploring Tears for Fears, fame, mental health, grief, recovery, and creativity.
