B.D. Carpenter is the husband-and-wife writing team of Brandi and Dean Carpenter. Brandi’s background in writing, human services, crisis counseling, and clinical psychology informs their emotionally resonant characters, while Dean’s computer-science background and work as a senior software engineer contribute to their detailed worldbuilding and coherent magical systems. They independently publish urban and science-fantasy fiction, including the False-Kin Chronicles and the short-story collection The Beasts We Are.
