Patmeena Sabit is an Afghan American novelist whose debut, Good People, was published by Crown in 2026. Born in Kabul, she grew up in Virginia after her family fled the Soviet-Afghan conflict as refugees, and she now lives in Toronto. Her writing explores immigrant identity, family, community, cultural conflict, and the stories people construct about one another.
