Nick Newlin is a performer, writer, theater director, and arts educator best known for creating and editing The 30-Minute Shakespeare series, abridged adaptations designed for students and novice performers. Since 1996, he has conducted an annual play-directing residency affiliated with the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C., drawing on that work to make Shakespeare’s plays accessible for classroom and stage performance. He also performs internationally as the children’s entertainer Nicolo Whimsey.
