Christopher D. Kolenda is a retired U.S. Army colonel, combat leader, and scholar with a PhD in War Studies from King’s College London. He is the author of Zero-Sum Victory: What We’re Getting Wrong About War and The Counterinsurgency Challenge, and editor and co-author of Leadership: The Warrior’s Art. His writing focuses on military strategy, leadership, counterinsurgency, negotiation, and the political challenges of modern warfare.
