Hendrik Falkenberg, born in 1978, studied sports management and began his career in television sports broadcasting. He turned to fiction with the self-published crime novel Die Zeit heilt keine Wunden in 2014; the book later reached number one on Germany’s Kindle charts and led to a publishing contract with Amazon Publishing. He is best known for the ten-book Hannes Niehaus crime series set around the Baltic Sea and has also written a thriller series featuring BKA investigators Laura Westermann and Steven Haberland.
