His national-market breakthrough was the young-adult science-fiction novel Variant (2011), followed by Feedback and the Blackout series, including Dead Zone. He later co-wrote the bestseller The Warning with James Patterson and has also written romantic comedy, mystery, thriller, and speculative fiction.
