India Hill Brown is a South Carolina author of middle-grade and young adult fiction. After working in journalism and freelance writing, including roles with HBO and New York Magazine, she pursued her goal of becoming a novelist. Her debut, The Forgotten Girl, was an NAACP Image Award nominee and an ALSC Notable Children’s Book; she has since written historical ghost stories for middle-grade readers and contemporary YA romance.
