W. Cleon Skousen (1913–2006) was a prolific American author, lecturer, and teacher who wrote 46 books over a career spanning more than seven decades. His work covered Latter-day Saint scripture and theology, biblical history, the U.S. Constitution, American founding principles, anti-communism, politics, and family life. His best-known titles include The Naked Communist, The Five Thousand Year Leap, The Making of America, The First 2,000 Years, and Treasures from the Book of Mormon.
