Alison Goodman is an Australian author of speculative and historical fiction whose writing career began with the award-winning science-fiction novel Singing the Dogstar Blues, first published in 1998. She is best known for the New York Times bestselling Eon and Eona fantasy duology and the Lady Helen dark-fantasy trilogy, and she later wrote the Regency historical mystery series The Ill-Mannered Ladies. She lives in Melbourne, Australia.
