Vita Sackville-West (1892–1962) was an English poet, novelist, journalist, diarist, and nonfiction writer. She published seventeen novels, numerous poetry collections—including the prize-winning pastoral epic The Land—and works of biography, gardening, and literary nonfiction. Her best-known novels include The Edwardians and All Passion Spent, and she was a prominent member of the Bloomsbury literary circle.
