Melissa Albert is an American young adult author best known for her dark, fairy-tale-infused fiction. Before becoming a novelist, she worked in publishing and founded the Barnes & Noble Teen Blog. Her debut novel, The Hazel Wood, became a New York Times bestseller and launched a series, followed by The Night Country, Tales from the Hinterland, Our Crooked Hearts, and The Bad Ones.
