Keith John Kingston Roberts (1935–2000) was an English science-fiction and fantasy author, illustrator, and magazine editor. After working as an illustrator and cartoon animator, he began publishing stories in Science Fantasy in 1964 and later served as associate editor and editor of Science Fantasy/SF Impulse. He wrote more than one hundred stories and several acclaimed novels and linked-story collections, including Pavane, Anita, The Chalk Giants, and Kiteworld, while also designing influential covers for British science-fiction magazines.
