Eugene L. Rogan is an American historian and author specializing in the modern Middle East, the Arab world, and the late Ottoman Empire. A professor of Modern Middle Eastern History at the University of Oxford, he has written acclaimed nonfiction histories including The Arabs: A History, The Fall of the Ottomans, and The Damascus Events, and has edited scholarly works on Palestine and the Ottoman Middle East.
