Sophie Elmhirst is an award-winning British journalist and author who writes regularly for The Guardian Long Read and The Economist, with work also appearing in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and Harper’s Bazaar. Her first book, Maurice and Maralyn, published in the United States as A Marriage at Sea, is a narrative nonfiction account of a couple’s survival after shipwreck; she also co-wrote the Audible Original Exposed: The Ashley Madison Hack.
