Mark Douglas-Home is a Scottish journalist-turned-author who served as editor of The Herald and held senior editorial roles at The Sunday Times Scotland, The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday. He began writing fiction with The Sea Detective in 2011, followed by three further Cal McGill crime mysteries: The Woman Who Walked into the Sea, The Malice of Waves and The Driftwood Girls.
