John Kenney is a New York Times bestselling author of humorous poetry collections and contemporary novels. He worked for many years as an advertising copywriter and has contributed humor writing to The New Yorker since 1999. His debut novel, Truth in Advertising, won the Thurber Prize for American Humor, and he has since published additional novels and poetry collections, including I See You’ve Called in Dead and Love Poems for the Office.
