Andrew Sean Greer is an American novelist and short-story writer whose fiction career began with magazine publications and the story collection How It Was for Me. His first novel, The Path of Minor Planets, appeared in 2001, followed by acclaimed novels including The Confessions of Max Tivoli, The Story of a Marriage, The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells, Less, and Less Is Lost. He won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for Less and has also taught writing at universities including Stanford and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
