Michael S. Heiser (1963–2023) was an American biblical scholar and Christian author whose writing focused on the Hebrew Bible, ancient Near Eastern religion, and the Bible’s supernatural worldview. He wrote more than ten nonfiction books, including The Unseen Realm, Angels, Demons, and A Companion to the Book of Enoch, as well as the speculative fiction novels The Façade and The Portent. He also founded The Naked Bible podcast and produced accessible biblical-study content through Logos, Faithlife, and his own ministry.
