Kristine McKenna is an American journalist, critic, art curator, and nonfiction author. She wrote for the Los Angeles Times from 1977 to 1998, served as a music editor and West Coast editor for major publications, and contributed criticism and interviews to Artforum, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, The Washington Post, and Rolling Stone. Her books include interview collections, art books, and Room to Dream, a hybrid biography and memoir co-written with David Lynch.
