Eliyahu M. Goldratt (1947–2011) was an Israeli physicist, business thinker, and author best known for developing the Theory of Constraints. He introduced these ideas through The Goal, a bestselling business novel published in 1984, and continued writing business novels and nonfiction works about management, production, marketing, project management, and organizational improvement. His other major books include It's Not Luck, Critical Chain, Isn't It Obvious?, and The Choice, co-authored with his daughter.
