Bill Oakley is an Emmy-winning American television writer and producer best known for writing and serving as showrunner of The Simpsons with Josh Weinstein during its celebrated 1990s era. He co-created Mission Hill and later wrote or produced for series including Futurama, Portlandia, Disenchantment, and Close Enough. He is also the writer and director of Audible’s alternate-history science-fiction comedies Space: 1969 and Space: 1972.
