Susan Richards is an American memoirist and writing teacher with a BA in English from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in social work from Adelphi University. Her breakthrough memoir, Chosen by a Horse, became a bestseller and was followed by Chosen Forever and Saddled. Her writing explores horses, recovery, relationships, self-acceptance, and the healing bond between people and animals.
