Ellin Carsta is the historical-fiction pseudonym of German author and publisher Petra Mattfeldt, who also writes as Caren Benedikt and under her own name. She began publishing as Ellin Carsta in 2015 and achieved bestseller success with the Heimliche-Heilerin novels. She has since written several historical series, including the Hansen, Falkenbach, Veltens, Händlerstochter and Kinder der Hansens sagas, combining researched historical settings with family stories, strong female characters and suspenseful intrigue.
