David Goodman is an award-winning Scottish novelist whose debut, A Reluctant Spy, was published by Headline in 2024 and won the 2025 McDermid Debut Award and Bloody Scotland Debut Prize. He followed it with the spy thriller Solitary Agents in 2026 and also writes speculative fiction, including short stories and a forthcoming science-fiction novel under the name David W. Goodman. He lives in East Lothian, Scotland.
