Paul Hoffman is a British novelist and screenwriter whose career began after working as a teacher and film censor. His first novel, The Wisdom of Crocodiles, was followed by the black comedy The Golden Age of Censorship and the bestselling fantasy series beginning with The Left Hand of God. He has also written Scorn and The White Devil, and his work has been translated into numerous languages.
