Kathleen Marie Higgins is a professor of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin and an author, editor, and contributor whose work focuses on Friedrich Nietzsche, aesthetics, philosophy of music, emotion, and culture. Her books include Nietzsche's Zarathustra, The Music of Our Lives, The Music Between Us, and Aesthetics in Grief and Mourning; she has also coauthored and edited several introductory philosophy and aesthetics texts.
