Howard Roughan is an American thriller author who began his writing career with The Up and Comer in 2001, after working as a Manhattan advertising copywriter and creative director. He later published The Promise of a Lie and became a frequent collaborator with James Patterson, co-writing bestsellers including Honeymoon, Second Honeymoon, Don't Blink, Truth or Die, and the Instinct series. Murder Games, their first Instinct novel, was adapted into the CBS television series Instinct.
