Taran Matharu is a British author born in London in 1990. He began writing the Summoner series during NaNoWriMo 2013, publishing it on Wattpad, where it gained millions of reads before becoming a New York Times bestselling young adult fantasy series. He later wrote the YA Contender trilogy and began his adult fantasy Soulbound Saga with Dragon Rider.
