Andrea Bajani (born 1975 in Rome) is an Italian novelist, poet, essayist, and journalist. He debuted with the novel Morto un papa in 2002 and gained wide recognition with Se consideri le colpe (If You Kept a Record of Sins), which won several Italian literary prizes. His later novels include Ogni promessa, Un bene al mondo, Il libro delle case, and L'anniversario, which won the 2025 Premio Strega; he also contributes essays and articles to major Italian newspapers and teaches creative writing.
