Ai Jiang is a Chinese-Canadian writer and poet from Fujian, China, who moved to Canada with her parents at age four. She began writing on Wattpad in high school and later studied at the University of Toronto, Humber School for Writers, and the University of Edinburgh. Her professional writing career began with short fiction and poetry in speculative magazines, followed by the novellas Linghun, A Palace Near the Wind, and A River From the Sky, and the novel An Empire in the Clouds.
