Henry M. Morris (1918–2006) was an American engineer, author, lecturer, and Christian apologist who wrote more than 60 books defending a literal interpretation of Genesis. He coauthored The Genesis Flood (1961), a foundational work of modern young-earth creationism, and went on to write extensively on creation science, evolution, biblical history, and the relationship between science and Scripture. In 1970, he founded the Institute for Creation Research and continued writing and lecturing until his retirement.
