Shauna Lawless is an Irish author whose fascination with Irish mythology, folklore, and history inspired the Gael Song historical-fantasy series, set in medieval Ireland. Her debut novel, The Children of Gods and Fighting Men, was published in 2022 and nominated for Best Debut at the British Fantasy Awards; she has since published further novels and novellas in the series and writes full-time.
