Mariana Enriquez (born 1973 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine novelist, short-story writer, journalist, and essayist known for blending literary realism with horror and gothic fiction. Her works include the novels Our Share of Night and A Sunny Place for Shady People, the story collections Things We Lost in the Fire and The Dangers of Smoking in Bed, and the cemetery-travel chronicle Somebody Is Walking on Your Grave. Her writing has appeared in publications including The New Yorker, Granta, McSweeney’s, and Electric Literature, and she has received major international literary awards.
