Christoph Biermann (born 1960 in Krefeld, Germany) is a German sports journalist and nonfiction author specializing in football. He began writing for taz while studying German and history, later contributing to Stern and Die Zeit and working as an editor or correspondent for Süddeutsche Zeitung and Der Spiegel. Since 2010 he has worked as a reporter for 11Freunde, and he has published numerous acclaimed books on football, including Football Hackers, The Football Matrix, and Game Theory.
