Juli Zeh is a German novelist, essayist, and playwright whose writing career began with her acclaimed 2001 debut novel, Adler und Engel (Eagles and Angels). Her fiction often examines law, politics, surveillance, technology, and social change, and includes novels, children's books, essays, and newspaper articles. Her work has been translated into nearly 30 languages and has received major literary awards, including the German Book Prize and the Thomas Mann Prize.
