Adam Haslett is an American fiction writer and journalist whose work includes novels, short stories, and cultural and political journalism. His fiction debut, You Are Not a Stranger Here, was a finalist for both the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award, and his later novels include Union Atlantic, Imagine Me Gone, and Mothers and Sons. He directs the MFA Program at Hunter College and has received the Guggenheim Fellowship, PEN/Malamud Award, Berlin Prize, and other honors.
