David Cross is an American comedian, writer, actor, and producer who began his writing career on The Ben Stiller Show, where he shared an Emmy for writing. He co-created and wrote the influential sketch-comedy series Mr. Show with Bob and David, and later wrote for television and film. As an author, he wrote the memoir I Drink for a Reason and co-wrote Hollywood Said No! with Bob Odenkirk and Brian Posehn, a collection of abandoned scripts and sketches.
