Ed Bernd Jr. began writing in the newspaper business, spending his first 35 years as a news photographer and reporter; he was a runner-up in the 1954 Boys Life Magazine writing contest. After studying the Silva Method in 1975 and becoming an instructor, he joined Silva headquarters in 1981 as a newsletter editor. He has since written, edited, or coauthored more than a dozen books with José Silva and other Silva Method instructors, focusing on ESP, mind development, meditation, personal growth, and practical self-improvement.
