Jeff Brown (1926–2003) was an American children's author and editor who began his career as a child actor, Hollywood story editor, and writer for publications including The New Yorker and The Saturday Evening Post. He created Flat Stanley, first published in 1964, and went on to write several more books about the famously flat boy and the Lambchop family.
