Eugene Astakhov was born in Moscow in 1989 and originally pursued a career in law before leaving office work in 2022 to write full-time. An avid LitRPG reader and fan of video games, fantasy, science fiction, and tabletop role-playing games, he wrote the nine-book Viasheron series, which sold more than 44,000 copies on a Russian self-publishing platform. He is also the author of the Emperor of the Borderlands series, co-written with Alex Toxic.
