Heather Critchlow grew up in rural Aberdeenshire, studied history and social science at the University of Cambridge, and trained as a business journalist before becoming a freelance writer and media consultant. Her debut crime novel, Unsolved, was published in 2023 and launched the Cal Lovett Files series, followed by Unburied, Unsound, and Unknown. Writing as H. Critchlow, she also publishes speculative crime thrillers, including The Tomorrow Project, and her short fiction has appeared in crime anthologies.
