Viktor E. Frankl (1905–1997) was an Austrian psychiatrist, neurologist, philosopher, and author who developed logotherapy, a meaning-centered approach to psychotherapy. He wrote extensively on psychology, existential analysis, suffering, resilience, and the search for meaning; his best-known work, Man's Search for Meaning, combines memoir about his concentration-camp experiences with an introduction to logotherapy. His other major books include The Doctor and the Soul, The Will to Meaning, Yes to Life, The Unheard Cry for Meaning, and Man's Search for Ultimate Meaning.
