Viktor E. Frankl (1905–1997) was an Austrian psychiatrist, neurologist, philosopher, and author who developed logotherapy, a meaning-centered approach to psychotherapy. He wrote extensively on psychology, existential analysis, suffering, resilience, and the search for meaning; his best-known work, Man's Search for Meaning, combines memoir about his concentration-camp experiences with an introduction to logotherapy.
