Her books explore the history of science, nature, exploration, gardening, and Romanticism, including The Invention of Nature, Founding Gardeners, Chasing Venus, Magnificent Rebels, and The Traveller. She has also written for publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, The Atlantic, and the Financial Times, and lives in London.
