Dana Meachen Rau is a prolific children’s author, editor, and artist who has written more than 300 books. Her career began in children’s publishing, and her first book appeared in 1995. She writes picture books, early readers, biographies, historical fiction, and nonfiction on scientific, historical, and geographical topics, and holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults.
