Robert Pool, Ph.D., is a science and technology writer who transitioned from mathematics research and university teaching into journalism and nonfiction. He worked as a writer and editor for Science and Nature, taught science writing at Johns Hopkins University, and has published extensively in outlets including Discover, New Scientist, Technology Review, Forbes, and The Washington Post. He is the author of several general-audience books, including Eve’s Rib, Beyond Engineering, Fat, and Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise, co-authored with Anders Ericsson.
