Katy Birchall is a British author who began her writing career with books for children and young adults, including The It Girl, Hotel Royale, Morgan Charmley: Teen Witch, and collaborations such as the Lightning Girl series. She has also retold Jane Austen’s Emma for younger readers and written nonfiction. Her adult-fiction debut, The Secret Bridesmaid, was followed by The Wedding Season, The Last Word, and One Last Thing; she previously worked as an editor for Country Life magazine and lives in London.
