She began writing in childhood, later wrote news and editorial columns while earning a communications degree, and pursued publishing after studying abroad in Japan. Her fiction blends mystery, magic, gothic influences, fantasy, science fiction, and romance; she also works as a professional voice talent for radio, television, and audiobooks.
